Even though I’m quite busy with work and preparing my trip to D.C. (yey!!!), I wanted to elaborate another infographic I had promised myself to do, even though it is still mainly a draft…
When you have a background like mine (trained in Business management, experience in Quality, recently become an Evaluator and naturally inclined to Efficiency) I guess it is normal to be really interested in the relationship between Performance Management and Evaluation.
That was why I was happy to read the number 137 of New Directions for Evaluation on this subject. So, as I tend to do lately, -to better understand the issue myself- I decided to elaborate a little infographic on it. This time, I am not very satisfied with the final result (not even with the aesthetics), and my intention is to come back to some of these to improve them and complete them, but that is what I have for now…
Feel free to criticise or contribute for future improved editions, and if you are going to the AEA conference next week (I’m really looking forward to it), we can always try to discuss it over a drink! ;-P
(PS: Of course I can’t wait to read the new issue of NDfE on Data Visualization!)
Nice work Sara! There’s a lot of confusion between these two terms out there and I think resources like these are incredibly helpful.
It was great to meet you at AEA, Sara! I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks Ginger!
I’ll keep you posted!
And any fellow critic (as in the MOOC) is welcome! =)
Thanks Kylie….
Still more things to visualize that the NDFE issue includes and the infographic doesn’t… But it is a start!
Cheers!
I think your work is Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I have been living under a rock. I am truly impressed and inspired by you! You have great vision. Keep up the incredible work!
Thank you!!!
I’ll try!!! ;-P
